Dying your hair requires practice and know how to get the job done right. The way your hair turns out after dying depends not only on how the application is done, but also on the type of hair dye that you use and the colors that are applied. Even when everything is done properly though, there are times when the dye you have chosen does not appeal to you or your skin tone and you want to return your hair back to your original color. In most cases, it is an easier job than you might expect, but if you are going to try removing black hair dye, especially from blond or very light colored hair, there are certain things you need to be ready for.
For dark hair dye colors, it is important to determine exactly what type of dye was used before you can begin removing it. When removing black hair dye from light hair, it can be as easy as extra shampooing with special clarifying shampoo. If the dye used was semi permanent, then extra hair washings will successfully remove the color from your hair. The clarifying shampoo removes the dye by stripping it of chlorine, which will remove the color. Use the shampoo repeatedly to see results.
If, on the other hand, you have used a permanent hair dye and do not like the way your hair looks now it is going to be harder to remove the dye from your hair. There are a couple special products on the market that work by bleaching the hair to remove color that is not wanted. These are successful in removing black hair dye from hair, but they also remove some of your own natural hair color and some of the beneficial properties that keep your hair healthy.
In all cases of hair removal it is important to treat your hair afterwards for lost moisture. Dyeing and then removing the dye will dry out your hair excessively and cause it to become brittle. Use a strong leave in conditioner and avoid excessive washing and shampooing for a couple days once you have removed all the color. Once your hair has recovered from the drying out that is experienced you can decide on another color to try in order to achieve the hair dye effect that you desire.
